During a radio appearance Monday night, WEC GM Reed Harris said big things are on the horizon. He's optimistic WEC will be back on DirecTV very soon, maybe even in time for WEC 45 on December 19, and WEC will absolutely be on PPV next year-just a matter of when. Harris says WEC is targeting mid-year for the first PPV, maybe sooner, depending on how the January card goes. Additionally, WEC will run a Saturday show in March during the annual Arnold Classic in Ohio.

I can't see the WEC making too many PPV waves...

me too

just another reason why DirecTV is suck ass

customer service

ordering glitches

nothing is on at normal times

the digital guide only shows a few days out

if I did not have a huge bill waiting for me at comcast I would have already switched back

If DirecTV was a person I would smack them

I don't think it will do well, but it might not be a bad thing in the end. If the WEC bombs a PPV, that will be all the more reason to bring the FWs and BWs to the UFC.

They'll need all of their top guys and every belt on the line to generate any interest, sadly. Fold it into the UFC.

WEC has no matches that would make me want to pay $50 or $40.

I would pay for a card that has Bowles, Brown, Aldo, Faber, Torres all on one card. Other than that...meh.

when you see something for free for so long it is hard to start paying for it

that is why Nog says Brazil is not the best place for PPV buys and MMA gates

they would really have to roll into the UFC in order to get PPV

I would definitely respect a Brown, Faber or Aldo main event more than some of the contender match ups the UFC has slated for co-main events though

it seems like both parties would benefit from the adoption

KOTC?! damn, that makes you a bonafide fan, mma-core makes it hard for me to buy non-UFC fights and I still cheap out and go watch some UFCs from a local bar

I don't see this working I'm not going to buy it and I doubt that most bars will either.

What is really sad is most of you are being hypnotized by the marketing machine, IMO. I believe the WEC's cards blow away the UFC's on average. Much better fights, just not the name recognition or hype.

What about if the PPVs were only $15-20 ?

How many would consider purchasing the event then ?
