LAS VEGAS – "The Ultimate Fighter 10" heavyweight Roy Nelson (13-4 MMA, 0-0 UFC) has heard all the criticism.

"Big Country" knows that UFC president Dana White wasn't necessarily impressed with the road the former IFL champion took to Saturday's live finale at The Pearl at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas against Brendan Schaub (4-0 MMA, 0-0 UFC), and he knows some fans were grumbling, too.

But Nelson recently told MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that even his biggest detractors should tune in to Spike TV on Saturday night because he's got a show planned.

"I'm comfortable (with my performance in the 'TUF' house)," Nelson said. "I mean I won. That's the first and foremost. As far as being criticized, it really didn't matter being in the house because your main objective being in the house is just to finish fights and win.

been a roy nelson fan for a long time and love the way he fought on the show but i do agree that 2nd fight should have had a 3rd round.

whether he wins or loses his next fight needs to be against rothwell. he's got 3 fights he lost by decision that most people think he won. Rothwell is one of those.

Are you kidding? Schaub has truly fought nobody and Roy's gonna easily beat him.

I think Rothwell and Nelson are here to stay and play the Keith Jardine role at heavyweight. I'm not really interested in a rematch but I'd love to see Kongo and Rothwell for sure.

I got Big Country in this one. Not really a fan, but I think if he would put in a little more work and get in with a good gym he has a lot of potential. Not sure if he'll ever fight for a title though.

LMAO smothergut is a great nickname.

Nelson has skills. There's no denying that. It's a moot point now, anyways. He proved everything he ever needed to prove. Although he'd done that for me a while back before TUF.

Actually, smothergut is marketable. :) He's like an out of shape Pro Wrestler. He actually looks like the fans but fights like a fighter. What people seem to forget with his girth is that he actually has very quick hips on the ground.
