Snappy. Moody. Ready.
Those are three adjectives describing Kimbo Slice’s mood heading into Saturday’s “Ultimate Fighter” season 10 finale.
Much of Slice’s pre-fight hype swayed from his opponent, Houston Alexander, and towards the banquet table that awaited him following weigh-ins.
The bout is contracted at 215 pounds and it’s the first time Slice has cut weight to fight. He shed the pounds by himself, and probably regretted it.
Light heavyweight? No way.
“I would literally disappear,” said Slice.
Nevertheless, the man also known as Kevin Ferguson promised to bring his bread and butter to the Octagon, namely his right and left hands. Two months of jiu-jitsu at American Top Team wouldn’t change his stripes.
If anything, Slice wants to punish Alexander for making him drop 20-some pounds.
“I’ve got a reason to knock this dude out,” he said.
