This story has been gaining a lot of steam around the forums over the past few days. Joe Brammer will be wearing a shirt from the company Hoelzer Reich at the TUF 10 finale. The shirt (pictured right) features several icons, such as the Iron Cross, that were used by the Nazis. Hoelzer Reich also uses many other symbols and images that are associated with Nazi culture.

-----What do you think about this gear? I see that Cowboy and Danzig are both on there website and I consider them to be sensible people. But damn these are some evil looking shirts, which isn't such a bad thing as long as they don't represent what the rumors say anyway. They also sponsor a black fighter Justin Driggers. Even if they don't represent any of that stuff, these shirts have all kinds of appeal to those who do represent it. I guess people gotta eat in the end. Any thoughts?

They claim to be using imagery from their family, and German heritige, but surely they could of picked out images not so related to the Nazi era, just to be on the safe side? I have no doubt that the owners arent racist or anything, they took the time to post on another forum I read explaining the logos ect, but I just dont think its a good look. I no Ross Pearson was also involved with them at one point, but he probably made the wise decison of cutting his ties shortly after.

If they are funding nazi bands, then I say get rid of them.

But I don't see much wrong with that shirt. They are using traditional german flag colors on the script, and I can name several companies that use an Iron Cross. If there was a swasticka or some SS bars on there that would be one thing, but the Iron Cross itself is a german symbol that predates nazism and is still used by the german armed forces today.

Call me crazy, but I am usually pretty good at spotting bigotry when I see it, and that shirt aint it.

I disagree....I think of it this way. If one of my employees came to work with it on would I allow it....simply no. If it can be taken the wrong way in America then it will be, it causes a problem. It's not even been worn yet and it's causing a ripple, just imagine the implications on the under educated and less tolerant people who will be seeing it. People have short attention spans and are quick to jump to conclusions, just pick another shirt by the same company and all is good.

it's not like the iron cross is a nazi-specific symbol.

I'd rather wear this shirt than have "Condom Depot" printed on my ass.

To me, its more annoying that people jump to conclusions about a symbol that wasn't even a "Nazi" symbol. Just cause its a German symbol doesn't mean its a Nazi symbol ~_~.

Meh its fine, and anyone that sees a serious problem with it, are prolly the same people causing the panic about it.

I see the iron cross symbol plastered on t shirts everywere.
Especialy one tees that are motorcycle oriented.

I really don't see the big fuss over it personally.

The Iron Cross is not a Nazi symbol. I don't mind it, but some people who don't know anything other then Nazi history will be offended.

again, like many have said, the iron cross is on at least 7 out of 10 shirts out there. Tell me honestly that you dont own something with one on it like back when jesse james and his west coast choppers merch just hypnotized everyone into buy a black WCC shirt with that white cross on it. If not that, im sure you have something in your house that has the symbol of the iron cross on it.

get over it people, its a nice shirt, it's just from germany and the swastika (wich is by the way not even supposed to be a nazi symbol to start with) isint on it so we're good.
