Strikeforce has just put it's Middleweight division on notice: Start writing your wills. Their latest huge signing is one of the world's most feared strikers-"Marvelous" Melvin Manhoef. He's signed an exclusive multi-year US deal with the promotion, exact terms not disclosed. He could debut at the 12/19 event against Robbie Lawler, but that's not yet official.

Not surprisingly I'm really hyped over this. Can't wait to see Manhoef do his thing in the cage!

Good move. Strikeforce has been signing some solid fighters.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

Strikeforce's 185 lb division is shaping up very nicely. I'm seriously considering a subscription to Showtime *solely* for Strikeforce events.

Dana doesn't know what he's missing out on with some of these guys. SF is taking some potentially big gambles with some of these names but give them credit, they are trying hard to become more legit as a major promotion and these guys they're signing do have good name recognition, especially outside of the US. That's a good way to build a worldwide fanbase.

I hope the Lawler fight happens but I doubt it, it seems like every rumored match up for SF never happens, I think Lawler would bring a great gameplan and beat Melvin.

I also think they should not do that matchup first I think they should give him some warm up fights in order to hype up the Lawler fight, Melvin look and style will really gain a lot of popularity real fast and the only killer to that would be Lawler neutralizing him, gassing him out and then peppering him until he gets the TKO, ala his fight with Ninja

I think you might be underestimating Dana and the UFC...

This is a great move as long as they get him the right match-ups to begin with. I'd keep him away from Shields and Jacare' for sure though.

He'd be an awesome addition to the next CBS card.

Awesome!

Manhoef stateside!

As mentioned above, given the right fights they can build him up rather nicely.
He'll struggle at the deeper end of the strikeforce pool, but Melvin is one of those guys who can't be underestimated and is exciting to watch.

Doesn't look like Manhoef-Lawler in 12/19 is happening. Weekly says he's likely headed for Japan for Fields Dynamite!! on 12/31.

Then your missing out because Dexter and Weeds are two of the beswt shows on TV.

On topic I was confused because they talk about him fighting Lawler then they say it adds to the 205 division what weight will he fight at?
