Newly crowned Strikeforce Middleweight Champion Jake Shields slams Cung Le for his decision to vacate the 185-pound title and agree to fight Scott Smith at "Evolution" on Dec. 19 rather than defend it against the surging jiu-jitsu phenom.
Cung Le finally got hit by Shamrock and realized , this hurts. There might be some truth to both sides of the story. I think Cung Le would probably be a huge underdog but I haven't seen Cung Le going around claiming to be a top ten fighter, I do think that Shields is a top 10 fighter but he'll never be a top 5 guy, and calling out Cung Le and dry humping Mayhem for 5 rounds isn't going to make him top 5. I would love to see what he does against somebody like Bisping. I think they are pretty similar in ability, but I think Bisping would destroy him.
If I was Cung Le and took all that time off, I wouldnt jump back against Shields. Even though Shields didnt look all impressive against Mayhem.
Plus Shields would just do the same thing that he did to miller, stand for 10 secs and shoot against Cung Le.
And Cung realizes it would be a boring fight.
Jake Shields would definitely beat Cung cus he would blanket him. Guaranteed he wont stand with Cung. If Jake thinks cung is ducking him, they should fight and agree 2 stand

funny that Jake is criticizing someone for "hand picking" an opponent when all he ever does is call out people he knows he can beat and accuse them of ducking him if they don't sign up to fight him immediately.
