Seems like Marcus just got a pretty big wake up call. Although his record in the UFC is good, he doesn't have very many wins over big name opponents. I think there is still a future for him in the UFC, he'll just never be a contender in that stacked weight class.
Davis/Markham Davis/Grant Davis/Burns
would all be good matchups for him
I like the winner of Grant/Burns vs. Davis. This should make a difference to the WW rankings. It would show who is worthy of climbing the ladder. IMO I don't rate Burns but if he can beat TJ he could make a decent fight with Marcus.

I've always liked Marcus. I was disapointed by his performance and very impressed by Ben Saunders. I really like both guys. I hope Marcus gets back to work, and takes out his next opponent. Same for Ben.

Sometimes excuses are warranted. Saying "Saunders won because he is the better fighter" would also be an excuse if you want to get all girly about it. It's honest of Marcus to admit he took him lightly.

Reporters ask fighters why they lost the fight all the time, what are they supposed to say? I'd rather Marcus say this then give some scripted answer. Marcus didn't take anything away from a much more deserving Saunders.

anyone who thought Davis had more then a punchers chance is insane :P.
Saunders is better on the ground even then he is standing and his standup is freaking awesome......people called Nover the next A.Silva but its Saunders!

I picked Saunders to win, but I didn't think he'd do it in 1 round. Pretty amazing performance he put on out there.
I think Davis is starting to slow down. He's been through hell and back again throughout his various combat sports careers. Father time catches up eventually.
