Scratch one more title fight for the UFC.

MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) has learned from sources close to the organization that a planned bout between UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva and Vitor Belfort will not take place on Feb. 6.

Silva's has bone chips removed from his right elbow in October, and the joint has reportedly proved slow to heal.

Sources close to the situation informed MMAjunkie.com that "The Spider" might not be ready to fight until April, though Silva's manager, Ed Soares, wasn't immediately available for comment.

Silva and Belfort were originally slated for UFC 108 on Jan. 2, but that date was also nixed due to the elbow surgery.

Im officially pissed at Soares always running his mouth about who Anderson should fight.

Who he is gonna fight is irrelavent if he cant get his ass back in the cage, pathetic.

UFC 109 will continue the streak of trash main events.

I'm not surprised that Anderson and his management are throwing a monkey wrench into the UFC's plans. The injury is one thing, but since he has stated they don't think Vitor deserves a shot makes me think they are delaying the bout on purpose. Whatever the case, I'm sure Belfort/Silva is going to happen whether they like it or not.

I dont think it would be possible for this to be Andersons intentention's.

The fight was set, To get out of it he would of needed a Doctors word, So unless he has a doctor in his pocket. Its out of his hands. And the UFC 'would' get a second opinion if they thought this was dodgey...

Shiiiiity. I wanted to see Belfort get his shot. They should give hime Okami or Marquardt now. Even a rematch with Wanderlei would be crazy.
