Curses! Again! The injury/illness bug has bit UFC once again, this time it got Gabriel Gonzaga. Yahoo Sports reports Gonzaga is now off of UFC 108 due to a staph infection. He was to have faced Junior Dos Santos.

ya dos santos vs cain/carwin for the interim?
I think a lot of the cuts the ufc has been making is a big mistake, its evident that u need depth with these big names

They really have to do something here, wow.....don't get me wrong the under-card is awesome. Could be a wicked UFN on its own.....but, wow for the New Years PPV card this things lacking some serious star power. So a shady main event to begin with.... Evans-Silva, then whats the co-main event? Daley/Condit......Miller/Griffin? Ugh.....Now no GG vs JDS...Yikes

From what I understand McLovin's got some extra free time on his hands. And I'm guessing it's not going to take much to get into fightin shape. I say feed him a warm-up of some sort. There's plenty of guys who are looking for a payday.
No reason they shouldn't be able to make that happen.
On second thought, Saunders hardly took damage in his fight against Davis. He's in shape and that was the bout which was supposed to happen before Hazelett got injured the first time.
Make it happen Joe Silva.

They are really low on star power for their biggest show of the year. Cain/dos Santos is a must and make it an interim belt fight. Hazelett/Saunders is also a great idea.

They really need to do something to improve this card. It's not awful, but man has it gotten hurt by all these injuries and illnesses.

Jesus how many fights cancelled is that lately? Gonzaga is one of my favourites, I would have liked to see him fight again but Dos Santos is dangerous and Gonzaga doesn't look good when he gets cranked so maybe this is for the best.

They should get Carwin to take this fight. He's got to be in good shape.
It's risky for him sure, but another win would further cement his claim as the number one contender.

He's likely not available until at least March.
