After being out one year due to a serious leg injury that was viewed as career-threatening, former TUF 5 contestant Corey Hill could be returning to MMA as soon as January. He reportedly plans to return January 23 for "Raging Wolf" in Niagara, NY. Hill is still under UFC contract but it appears he will be given similar treatment that they gave Houston Alexander, who was given permission to take a couple of fights in outside promotions while under UFC contract.

Every time i gonna see him throw a leg kick i will flinch. Hopefully he is moving up in weight because i though he was way too thin.

so happy for this guy, I hope he gets everything straightened out and his career flourishes

but as previously mentioned, watching him throw a leg kick is gonna make me cringe

I'm guessing he'll stay at Lightweight for now.

According to Sherdog, his opponent will be Mike Dizak, who is 2-3 career but has lost his last 3.

Great to hear Hill is coming back. Watchin TUF 5 I thought he had alot of potential, but a major injury like that and you never know what happens when you return.

I like him in his return fight if it is actually against this 2-3 fighter. lol can.

I read an interview with him just recently which said something along the lines of 'he was advised to keep the pins and plates he had fitted in his leg inserted for another year at least'. However he recently had them removed against his doctor's advice.

I hope Corey isn't making a terrible mistake here by coming back too soon.

It's debatable, but also keep in mind he has a wife and kids to support, fighting is essentially his job. No work, no pay.

i was just thinking the other day about posting a thread inthe lounge asking if anyone had info on Hill. This is awsome. Glad to see the UFC is letting him take a few outside the org to break the rust free. Hopfuly he can come back and perform for the UFC.
