"I didn't hit him in the head, I hit him in the arm. I don't know why he would act like [that], I guess he was gassing. That's the only thing I can think of, [him] trying to find some kind of excuse to complain. I know I didn't hit him in the head. I thought I timed it perfect but I didn't and that's my fault. After him poking me in the eye it made a big difference. Then he did it twice and got both eyes the second time because when he swings, he jabs with his open hand and the right didn't even hit me, it was just the open palm strike and my eyes, my eyes are burning like hell right now. After I hurt him, he needed that, he needed some kind of excuse to recover, but it's all good."

And so starts the decline of Johnson's bandwagon and the Koscheck haters will come out of the shadows.

I was impressed with Kos. He showed just how good his wrestling is. Which makes you think again how GOOD GSP's wrestling must be

Kos actin..come on now ..that reminded me of Remy when Badr Hari stomp on him..but at least Remy got hit..unlike Kos who just started acting a fool out there..but it doesn't matter..GSP would walk both of these guys in under two rounds...

You lost. Take it like a man.
Don't act like that was a fair fight. No Contest if I ever saw one.

How do you figure? Over accidental eye poking? I suppose that never happens in fights?
It was absolutely a fair fight. Don't act like it wasn't.

Koscheck is such a weasel.
Thats how I predicted the fight going tho, I just had faith that it wouldnt go that route.
Rumble rocks Koscheck standing, Koscheck shoots and goes for the choke

Rumble cheated regardless of whether or not Koscheck laid down his acting skills. He also gassed, got outstruck, and outgrappled.

I tend to agree with AJ here, but Kos choked him out so he should take it like a man. The knee didn't hit Kos in the face tho, he's right about that.

Yeah, I guess throwing a huge knee into a downed opponents face could be reasonable grounds for a no contest....
I dont believe Kos would fake injury, or intentionally poke Johnson in the eye. Hopefully they have a rematch. It would go exacly the same way.

this argument is rediculous. yes he was over acting when he got the downed knee. but i dont care what anyone says. you take a full knee to the head when your on your knees it hurts like no tommorow. even if its blocked. fact of the matter is koscheck didnt have to act. he could have taken the full five with the poke or not, the knee was completely illegal. im not calling johnson a cheater at all though. when a fights goin on its hard to keep yourself in check at all times. when it comes down to it though. you dont need your eyesight at close range grappling on the ground all that much. he got his back taken and choked out. end of story. he could have taken the full 5 mins to recover but he went back in and once you make that descision there is no going back. no excuses. you take the loss and should go back to the BJJ gym

Absolutely should be a no contest. I 100% agree with Johnson. Kos was not gassed in my opinion, he was hurt from that big straight right Johnson landed. That's why he took so long to recover. There was no thumb in the eye before the knee that I could see, the knee didn't land, and to say a forearm to the eye is like an eye poke is ridiculous. Add the two eye pokes Kos landed on Johnson and you've got a very fishy fight.
I don't know how anyone can say that those things didn't effect the outcome of the fight as Johnson was clearly winning the stand up and able to avoid the takedowns before Kos recovered and before the eye pokes.
