how about this. split decision, are you serious? Forrest clearly won 29-28. judging has been very questionable lately. i don't think the judging system is the problem anymore. it's the judges. they don't know what they're watching. if there were educated MMA fans judging under a 10 point must system we wouldn't run into nearly as many controversial decisions.

Are you joking!!! This should have no way even been considered a split decision! People moaning about Tito not getting the second round should look at the out come of the fight!
Forrest won the first, close but defiantly won it, second was debatable and the third Forrest DOMINATED!! That should have been a unanimous decision no matter what happened in the second! Which I still would have gave to Forrest for the effective striking and reversal of position.

with both bowen and smiler, this SD are pissing me off, the judges in MMA are ****, SO is the ten point must system, is just doesnt work for MMA, Defense never gets looked at, top position wins no matter what, cecil peoples even came out and said he doesnt give a **** about leg kicks, i think the fighters should get a group together and take a proposition to the NSAC(since most do what they do anyway) and make a case for the Pride Scoring system,

/rant sorry guys i love this sport so much i get carried away and angry real fast sometimes,

yeah well, this is why I'm not paying for the UFC until they show some kind of desire to pressure the athletic commissions to do something about this problem. I realize that they don't assign judges themselves, but they certainly are in a position to raise awareness about it and put pressure on the commission.

Go back a month or so in the news and check out the article where keith keizer says that they have no need for big john right now. That's a goddamn joke, they are obviously fine with the status quo, and don't even believe that there is a problem.

When people like adelaide byrd, patricia jarman, and cecil peoples are judging, and refs are constantly making mistakes, something is really, really wrong. Most of these people don't even know how to judge their own sports properly, let alone a sport they know nothing about. I don't really care this time around, because I didn't pay and I have nothing invested in it, which is how it's going to stay until something happens.

This decision is far from bad, I had Forrest winning a 29-28 decision...yes i was surprised with the split, but it went in the favor of the WINNER for a change.

I was more dissapointed with Tito making yet another excuse, Dear Tito...do you honestly think the NSAC would allow you to fight with a broken Skull?...

Griffin easily could have won round two. The beginning of the round he was winning the stand up, ortiz took him down and controlled the middle of the round. But before the round was over forrest swept him, passed his guard, and did some GnP of his own. I think sweeps should count more than takedowns because they're harder to pull off, especially against a guy like Tito with good base.

Even if you give Tito the second round the third round could have been 10-8 for forrest because Tito was pretty much a human punching bag. So I would say 30-27 is fine. I would say 30-26 is fine. And I personally would have judged it 29-27 in favor of Forrest.

No matter how you break it down it doesn't matter because Forrest clearly won the fight. Not only do the judges suck the whole system sucks. For that fight to have been a split decision is a joke.

second round was a close one.
I can reasonably agree that Forrest won it 30-27.
Besides the third round i can see the other two going wither way.
It was a close fight i have no problem with the split decision.
Fighters should end fights and not let them go to the judges.

However if it was a thorough wooping like the one Amir put on Baroni and the judges gave it to Baroni then I would be upset.

Not surpirsed by the split. I could see Rd 1 going either way, Rd 2 clearly went to Tito and Rd 3 clearly went to Forrest. Unhappy about the 30-27 score myself.

Yeah I completely agree. I actually like Tito but i'm not really disapointed with the outcome since I saw it 29-28 for Forrest. Idk how you people could say Tito didn't win round two though, it seems a lot of people just say that because they don't like Tito.

I had a pretty clear 29-28 Forrest. I just wish he had of dropped Tito in the third and got himself a 10-8 round to make the decision more decisive. When I heard the first judge had given in to Tito my heart sank, I was really expecting the third score to be something totally stupid like 30-27 Tito, just to keep up with the trend of the horrible judging we get nowdays.

I'd say 29-28 or even 29-27 Griffin.
I could see the 3rd round being 10-8 for Griffin given how many strikes he landed vs Ortiz.
