Shane Carwin & Cain Velasquez have been in talks regarding meeting for the Interim UFC Heavyweight Championshp, but this fight may now be halted. The culprit? A potential baby-they're targeting UFC 110 in Australia on February 21 for the fight, but that's around the time Carwin's wife is expecting. The due date is February 11, about when Carwin would have to leave for 110.

Just gets worse and worse doesn't it? Can the UFC get any big fights scheduled these days?

As a father, I agree.

I can respect not wanting to miss the birth of your child but this is the same Carwin that said 'I would have never pulled out of the fight'.

Which of course is why he is trying NOT to schedule something that he would potentially have to pull out of. Kind of logical don't you think?

I have missed 2 out of 3 of my children's birth and I can totally relate to his situation. If he doesn't schedule the fight then he wont have to pull out of it. However I wonder if this could be used to supplement other cards that are lacking right now.

that's not pulling out of a fight.

also...he thought lesnar was pulling out of a fight because of the flu. He didn't know that lesnar was going to have surgery and 12 days in the hospital or whatever it was....
