In the interview, Aleks said he is looking for a home in a major MMA promotion and claimed to be in negotiations with the UFC. However, the one time he was booked to fight in the USA ended in controversy when the California State Athletic Commission refused him a license to fight at Affliction Banned.
Im actually really glad hes negotiating with the UFC (if indeed true). Aleks if signed, instantly puts a new title contender in the mix.his boxing is borderline amazing and he can roll on the ground if need be.
aleks would be a huge shot in the arm for the ufc heavyweight division, he adds a gas tank and you can supplant him into the top 5 for the rest of his career.
man i can't even remember the last time i saw Alek fight..yes it's been that long..and one of my homies told me that his last fight..he didn't looked to good..so i never checked out that vid..but if he were to sign to UFC..first match up(to me) would be JDS..man i wouldn't even pick anyone to win that match..lol..i guess havin one Emelianenko is better than havin none..right guys..p.s. whatever happened to the lil Emelianenko brother..Ivan Emelianeko..been waitin for that guy to show up in the MMA world...
Kind of interesting to see how this works out. They seem to have made a point to never talk about Fedor in broadcasts, which would be difficult not to mention if they picked up Aleksander. I could actually see them not picking him up JUST to avoid giving Strikeforce any kind of publicity. It really seems like the kind of thing Dana would do.
