I think Colitis. My friends mom has it and another friends fiance's sister has it also. It's terrible. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colitis

It's also pretty embarrassing for those who have it, that may be why Brock didn't want Dana to say anything.

Bingo. If he has colitis and had a GI bleed, that would explain him collapsing like that. They sometimes remove almost the entirety of your colon to take care of this, which ruins you nutritionally, and if he needs a colostomy bag, he'll never fight again.

Allan Green, a fairly well-known boxer, had this happen and he ended up fighting 16lbs lighter than he used to because of it. If a 178lb man losses that much, a monster like Lesnar could lose quite a bit more.

That's what I was thinking as well. My brother has ulcerative colitis and he would go through periods where he would lose like 40 pounds in a matter of weeks from an inability to absorb any of the nutrients he was taking in. It's also extremely painful.

It happened to one of the guys i work with last year, he felt like crap for about a month, went to the doctor and after testing they informed him that they would need to remove a few feet of his colon. He was in the hospital for a few weeks ended up loosing like 20-25 lbs and the guy is already skinny as hell 5'10 - 125-130lbs.

Its been almost a year and he still feels weak when he works out and we are not talking mma work out here, just a relaxed work out at the gym.

I never been a Lesnar fan but this is very bad, hopefully he will be able to get back to the monster he was!

If he can come back from this, he might be in a Couture situation weight-wise, he could fight at HW but he'd be down to the point that he might do better trying to make 205.

Regardless, I think his return is to fighting is the last thing that anyone needs to worry about.

Hopefully he gets better. He's a HUGE asset to the UFC.

Latest update from Dana today is that Brock's now in stable condition and should be released soon. No word on when/if he'll fight again, another Interim HW title is possible.

i dont understand all this talk about brock possibly needing to fight at 205???
it doesnt make any sense to me at all... In order to make 205 most fighters cut from 220ish..some as high as 230 (forrest)..that would mean brock..who CUTS to get to 265..from around 280+ would have to loose 60+ pounds from the illness, and then cut another 20 or so........ unless he is dying, or has something SERIOUS he will not be fighting at 205.

Plus his biggest strength is his size..... id think he would stop fighting before taking a stab at 205..

Dman this sucks. Dude had a ton of potential to be one of the best champions in the biz. Hopfully he can make a complete recovery. SO the big ? is????? Cain Velasquez vs Shane Carwin for the interim belt??? i hope so.
