The UFC's injury woes continue, and another main event has been scrapped.

A planned UFC 108 bout between heavyweight contenders Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira (32-5-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC) and Cain Velasquez (7-0 MMA, 5-0 UFC) has been called off due to a severe staph infection currently affecting "Big Nog."

Me to. I was really looking forward to this fight. Puts the HW division in a real pickle. Carwin taking time out for his knee operation, Nog with saph, Lesnar with who knows what but confirmed to not be fighting for a long time. Its going to be difficult to crown a new champ anytime soon.

I'd rather nog pull out of this fight then get knocked out, so while I'm sad to hear that he is sick i am glad to hear he is making the right decision

This card is doomed. Evans vs Silva better not be the main event. Great fight but not main event.

This is getting rediculous....

Maybe Dana can get Chuck back to headline....

Maybe Randy Can bounce back from 105 to headline...

Maybe GSP can tough it out and fight by then...

or

Maybe they should just postpone this card.

St.Pierre vs Hardy?
Couture vs Forrest/Tito?
Cain Valesquez vs Frank Mir (and have Kongo vs Barry)

Yeah, no ****. How the hell do you get 2 staph infections within like 8 months? That is crazy. All of the big names are just dropping like flies to injuries and illnesses. It's really out of hand.

sucks for me since i am going
with this i can only say maybe a coleman vs lidell or coleman vs couture
i do think the ufc needs to add another fight as well
or hardy vs gsp but in less than 2 months i doubt it

now is the time to sign henderson
who else is there??

carwin won't be ready
but say a cain vs dos santos vs interim belt makes sense
have gonzaga face a todd duffee now

but i will be very curious what they do now for a main event
