Mir should sub Kongo. How else could Mir win.....I doubt he'd win by (T)KO, I supposed could decision Kongo if he held him down...

I just feel like Mir will be very determined and hungry since his loss to Lesnar.

Despite my disliking Mir, I will be picking Mir by sub (round 1).

(But I'll be hoping for Kongo to (T)KO him.)

I can see this fight ending up on the floor within the first 5mins. This is where Mir will get the sub fosho.

I can't see Mir taking Kongo down so unless he can secure a leg lock or arm bar from the clinch, I see Kongo using a more refined version of sprawl and brawl and finishing Mir in the first two rounds.

I think Mir will keep it standing for a while coz he thinks he has got sweet standup, but he will get tagged all over the joint. Mir has got poor takedowns so he wont take Kongo down. I think Kongo will drop Mir and swarm all over him and get the stoppage because Mir panics when he gets hit.

If Mir wants the win he should train his trips right now, cause when it hits the mat Mir can finish it with ease.

Although Mir seems to have fallen in love with his striking, which may be his downfall, i think he is a smarter fighter then that.

Mir dec or Mir sub

I know a lot of people have noticed that Mir has fallen in love with his striking lately but don't forget that Kongo has fallen in love with his wrestling lately. Mir Sub R2

Me too, because that is how I am picking the fight.

No worries about the props, you just propped me 4 props ago.

I would say that Mir has fallen in love (or is delusional, take your pick) with his striking, but Kongo has gotten comfortable with his TD defense. In that, I can see Mir thinking he can stand with Kongo, where I am certain Kongo knows it is his best interest not to go to the ground with Mir but is comfortable enough to work in the clinch.

As much as myself and others burn Kongo for his lack of ground game, the man is strong as hell and it takes either a really big strong HW or a really good wrestler to take him down. I just don' t see Mir being one of those two types of HWs

I see what your saying and agree....but what I think is that if Mir gets rocked and hits the mat then Kongo will follow him in a "dominant" top position to try and get the GNP stoppage, that's when I see Mir getting the submission!

I agree. Mir has never been a great wrestler with sick or explosive takedowns. Not to mention Mir probably will try to stand with him and if he does, Kongo will kill him like he almost did Cain. Cains wrestling saved him. Mir don't have that so when Kongo drops him it's a done deal.

I am not writing Kongo off, I think it might go the distance but if it does not got the distance I foresee it ending by Submission via Frank Mir.
