Heading into Strikeforce on Saturday night, light heavyweight champion Gegard Mousasi was a huge favorite against former UFC fighter Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou, but the fight had some great back and forth moments that challenged the 205-pound titleholder.

In the end, Mousasi was able to get the upper hand and finish off Sokoudjou in the second round. Following the fight, the champion remarked that he knew his opponent was tough and no one should have underrated him going into the bout. That said, Mousasi, who is now on the radar as one of the top fighters on the planet, misses the role of playing the underdog. A position he occupied just a couple of years ago before some huge wins burst him into spot he sits in today.

I think Hendo would deliver Mousasi his first loss in a while. Unless Mousasi cn pull out the sub I just see Hendo getting takedowns and delivering some hard gnp.

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

I think this is Dan's fight to win/lose here ..... if he keeps it standing it has the potential for an all out war (which he could lose), while I think Gegard's ground game is top notch I think Dan's top game is better and if it went to the ground I would expect Dan to pull off the UD.

this would be a great fight. I think Dan would push Gegard in the ground dept. That's good for Gegard's development and if he is going to make the US his home for training ala Vegas he would get to work with a lot of top wrestlers and improve that area of his game. He probably hits harder than most of the guys Hendo has currently fought minus Silva. Gegard is still only 23 or so. He hasn't even reached his prime. Hendo is slightly out of his prime but wrestlers prove that strength and technique leave later than speed and reflexes. It would be a good match up. I hope it can happen. :)

Hendo is a much better fighter than RTS. This is a fight that I would be very excited to see except for one fact. Hendo wouldnt be in the uFC anymore. Byut hey at least SF has a CBS deal right!!
