At the post fight press conference Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker stated that in seven to ten days the promotion would be announcing two big heavyweight signings. He refused to give any hints as to who the heavyweights in question were but did seem to suggest that they would factor into the upper end of the division.

Barnett maybe???

ugh.

Arlovski was there, I'm fairly confident he'll be one of the signings. But I could live without Barney at this point. Frankly, until they actually make an official announcement I'm probably not going to give this story another thought.

I hope it's Barnett.
Though I'm thinking possibly Bobby Lashley with Arloski.

I thought of Barnett immediately before reading the article. Then thought of Andre. Would Big Tim be too much of a stretch?

Timmy could be a possibility.
I would like to see him fight Antonio Silva.

I don't understand why anyone wants to see Barnett fight. How many drug test do you have to fail before fans say enough is enough? When we support these types of actions and keep showing support time and time again it gives the fighter the wrong idea and other new comers a bad view of the sport. I honestly don't want any US based MMA org to sign Barnett . Who ever does it puts that org in a bad light and the sport in the US as well.

I dont think Arlovski or sylvia qualify as big signings anymore especially if Scott Coker says they are going to be contenders for a title...
My guess is Lashley for sure and Ill go with Monson

At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in the playground is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no props, and may the mods have mercy on your soul.

and this is coming from someone who was a big Barnett fan in the past. This last one was the straw that broke the camel's back. Not only did he ruin one of the most anticipated matchups in MMA history, but he screwed an entire promotion by doing so.

I'm thinking one of the fighters is Gilbert Yvel. The other is probably Bobby Lashley.

I doubt that it's Barnett. He's definitely going to receive a suspension whenever his hearing takes place. I doubt they would bother to sign the guy when he probably won't be able to fight in the states for a year or so.

I would guess Arlovski and someone else. I doubt it's Tim either, he has looked pretty rough lately.

I'm going to guess Arlovski and Lashley.

-edit-
Jackelope probably has a good call with Yvel. He did get his one-fight license recently and there hasn't been any talk about where he will fight.

Changing my guess to Arlovski and Yvel. I'm thinking maybe not Lashley because I don't see how he could be considered to be near the top of the division without having fought anyone anywhere near the top 20.

They just showed Arlosvki at the event & he's training with Greg Jackson. Definitely going Arlosvki & Lashley.

I think Big Tim has too look impressive before he gets into strikeforce. Just hasn't been the scary dominant figure since he got caught with roids. Now he's just fat & slow. I mean he looked great against Nog, one of the best HW fights in recent years. That was a sick fight. But other then that he's look out of shape & sluggish. Hope that KO loss to Mercer woke him up and he'll actually get back into good shape because he definitely can still be a top 5 guy when he's in shape like in the Nog fight, and his fight in the UFC 50's. 270 is a good weight for him.
