After Emelianenko dispatched of Rogers via second-round knockout and Werdum edged Silva via decision, Coker was again asked if that was still the plan.
The Strikeforce boss said some discussions will first need to take place, but he admitted the matchup "makes a lot of sense."
Coker discussed the possible bout in the night's post-fight press conference.
However, someone beat him to the topic and was already campaigning for the matchup.

Werdum looked good in his fight but if this happens, Fedor is getting another 1st or 2nd round finish.

It makes sense, but I think it is a much easier match for Fedor than Rogers was.

I think Werdums chin wouldn't withstand more than 2 or 3 punches from Fedor(though he took some nasty punishment from Bigfoot),but I think on the ground the fight could get pretty intereseting. I say Fedor takes a UD or finishes with a TKO.

Fedor by whatever he chooses. Dude is just a beast. He's not human. He gets his nose all jacked up, does not react at all. He is a machine.

I dont give Werdum much more of a chance than Rogers.
I would rather see Big Foot vs Fedor, if freakin big foot would have finished werdum in the first.

I agree ^^^^^^ Roger and Werdum. I would love to see Overeem against Fedor, that would be a possible fight of the year in the Heavyweight Div. or is it one of those fights with Fedor we will never see?

Exactly my thoughts. The biggest risks for Fedor are the hard hitters that have a puncher's chance. Despite Werdum's world class JJ, I don't think JJ will defeat Fedor.

I think that Werdum will be Fedors next opponent. Fedor by early 1st round KO
