Strikeforce has confirmed rumors of a December 19 event today, announcing the event for HP Pavilion in San Jose. Confirmed fights are Ronaldo Souza vs. Matt Lindland and the SF debut of Muhammad Lawal, but no Cristiane Santos. She's tentatively slotted for a January return.

Lindland is in my opinion a shot fighter and will be pretzelized by Jacare. I hope I am wrong and we get a competitive fight.

Well with the addition of Hendo (if the rumors are true) looks like there are a few more interesting fights that will most likely happen in Strikeforce
Hendo v Lawal- I want to see it
Hendo v Jacare - I want to see it too
plus they already have Lawler, shields, and Mayhem
(plus now Lindland. oh yeah, Shamrock and maybe the return of Cung Le)
They are starting to put together a respectable stable of middleweights

Santos update: She'll now return in January. The Coenen-Modafferi winner tomorrow night gets a shot at her title.
