The UFC merry-go-round continues to spin.

With a back injury forcing Kurt Pellegrino (14-4 MMA, 6-3 UFC) out a lightweight contest with Frankie Edgar (10-1 MMA, 5-1 UFC) at The Ultimate Fighter 10 Finale, preliminary card contestant Matt Veach (11-0 MMA, 1-0 UFC) has been tapped as a replacement.

I don't think Veach has done enough to earn a fight will frankie Edgar, I would have rather seen Edgar rematch Bocek, though that doesn't make much sense, I think it makes more sense then Edgar-Veach.

What on God's green Earth does this do for Edgar's career?

A little bit of a head scratcher, Veach is a solid fighter but he is nowhere near the level of Edgar

Maybe veach is the only one they could find. That being said he will prolly get dominated.

With Joe Stevenson available having taken little to no injury against fisher, I don't understand why Stevenson vs. Edgar wasn't booked. That fight makes MUCH more sense in my eyes

I woulda been happy with Bocek but I feel Edgar is next i line for a title shot, either him or Gray Maynard

He wanted to take time off to be with his family over the holidays. Knowing how much he loves his kids you can see why he'd do that
