Undefeated featherweight prospect Chad Mendes (5-0 MMA, 0-0 WEC) is heading to the big show.

WEC general manager Reed Harris confirmed with MMAjunkie.com (www.mmajunkie.com) that Mendes recently signed a multi-fight exclusive contract with the Team Alpha Male fighter.

"We are really excited to bring Chad into the WEC," Harris said. "He is one of the toughest fighters to come out of Urijah Faber's gym and he has the potential to be a world champion."

Chad Mendes is going to tear some people up.

I said it before, and I will say it again...

By the end of 2011, Chad Mendes will be one of the breakout stars of the year and a household name.
