The article's author doesnt even recognize Fedor, so dont expect intelligent mma article, but the screenshot looks great and is supposed to be in game play

the irony of the pic is Fedor's facial expression. They could have pasted a picture of Fedor's face on the 3D model and it would have been acurate.

haha...fedors non pinching knees remind me of kimbo forgetting to use his legs on the ground... graphics look pretty good, but that sloppy leg work isnt gonna keep anyone down for an armbar in real life...but tahts why its a video game i guess

It will be only a matter of time before the arm is photoshoped to become Fedor's d**k

Did anyone read the article?? The guy who wrote the article clearly doesn't know what he's talking about. He claimed the guy receiving the armbar was "Biting" the inside of Fedors knee... or should i say "The bald guys" knee, because thats what the writer refers to him as.

I think what needs to be taken with a grain of salt is that this picture is representative of a game in development.

Another thing about the little details of the technique, I ask, are you using the game as a MMA instructional tape or are you playing the game. People never complained that when Street Fighter II came out, that Ryu and Ken could throw a guy over their head with their arms, or that several fighters could generate electricity or shoot fire from their bodies. What matters is whether or not the game plays well and whether or not it is fun playing it.

It's just a screen shot and it means nothing. Just to prove my point I did a google image search on the UFC undisputed game (which most people haven't bitched about I might add) and here is one of the first five images from the game. I am sure anything the douche bag writer of the article said about the EA game screen shot could be said about this one taken at random.

I'd bet it's in the opening and not during gameplay.

Even in a video game, Fedor is all business.

This bare, get-on-the-floor and grapple-it-out violence is just, well, confusing. Look at that balding guy's expression*. Look closer. What is that all about? It's, like, the antisocial rage it takes to snap a man's arm (against one's groin, no less) coupled with the extreme constipation indicative of training the body to destroy people (go on, squeeze it out) and the extraordinary pain brought on by a set of incisors biting into the tender flesh behind the knee -- and then it's all locked together in what appears to be pure ... ecstasy? We know the sport's all about mixing it up, but these are mixed messages. C'mon, folks, we don't need this stuff in the way of kicking ass. Games must not imitate real life.

Wow, I can't believe this kid. What a goof. I have problems with every sentence.

yeah, I'd recommend just looking at the picture and not bothering with the article. Dude doesn't have anything remotely intelligent to say. Graphics look pretty good. I have a hard time believing they can replicate the intricacies of ground work on a video game though. I'm guessing there are a limited number of submissions/positions when the fight hits the ground.

Who knows though, they can program some pretty crazy things these days.
