The article clearly states that he's been sick for 3 and 1/2 weeks and unable to train. The fight is less than 1-month away. Call me crazy, but I'd personally want to get a full training camp in before I defend my belt.

Something is fishy. It really doesn't add up. I don't buy his sickness. I think he's looking for a bigger payday on the January 2 card.

If anything, I'd say it would be the UFC looking for a bigger payday on the January 2nd card.

card is still good
thank god coleman pulled out could u imagine a coleman vs ortiz main event

i do think for the high price tickets in vegas that one of the main card fights of ufc 107 will be pulled and put in ufc 106

vegas prices are more than double price than any other city in the u.s

That is a little strange. I hope someone confronts Brock/Dana with that piece of info. I'm not going to speculate, but that game was only 10 days ago, and he said he's been sick for 2 1/2 to 3 weeks. Sickest he's ever been in his life. He looks perfectly healthy in that video to me.

ill play devils advocate and say that too sick to train and cut 30 lbs is different than too sick to catch a football game. also, a couple of people i know have had swine flu(although hes not confirmed to have that) and they werent completely miserable every day, in fact the worst parts of it came and went in waves with them just feeling generally crappy in between but not bedridden. im not ready to call oliver stone to start rolling on this movie just yet.

Like I said. I'm not going to speculate, BUT I'm going off of personal experience here. When I was the sickest I have ever been in my entire life you would not have found me at a Vikings game. You wouldn't have found me smiling and posing for photos. You wouldn't have seen me outside the house unless it was on the way to the doctor or at the doctor.

Just sayin.

following the "sickest hes ever been" comment in the interview he went on to say that hes had it a long time and couldnt shake it. that to me says that the sickest hes ever been isnt in reference to acute sickness, but rather being sick for such a long time without feeling better. without reading the article it gets taken out of context.

Very true. I suppose he may be getting/feeling better, but losing the training time is really the problem here.

that and the ability to cut so much weight when it comes time for that, it would have been a VERY difficult cut if he was still sick although he probably would have had less to cut. im really just hoping we get to see one more main card(not main event, its a little late for that) type match added to this card.

I hope they have Carwin wait on Lesner because I want to see this fight. I don't want them throwing in a replacement for Lesner.
