LOS ANGELES – A trio of recently departed MMA superstars may not actually be any closer to returning to the promotion, but UFC president Dana White refused to rule out a return trip to the octagon by Mirko "Cro Cop" Filipovic, Quinton "Rampage" Jackson or Chuck Liddell.
Filipovic, Jackson and Liddell have all recently been considered defunct parts of the organization for a variety of reasons.
White addressed all three fighters' status following Thursday's UFC 104 pre-event press conference.
"I haven't talked to Mirko since he left the last fight," White said. "He's one of those guys, when he starts thinking about what he wants to do, he'll call me."

Mirko will be back for sure imo.he loves the sport way to much to call it quits right now..that being said im thinking dana will probably cut him if he loses his next fight.
Quinton...well...hes just stubborn and had his feelings hurt..he'll be back eventually
Chuck will be back also..although i dont see him in the title picture anymore.

Hear me out everybody. If Chuck can get back to the title by some miracle (I know but just imagine) I think he could beat Machida. He's got the perfect style. He's a counter striker and he's pretty quick and still has some heavy hands im sure. We saw how Shogun was patient and won the fight (should have). Liddell has been getting knocked out lately but I think he can do it. If he is patient like Shogun was and counter strikes like he always does. It's been proven you can counter Machida and if Liddell countered him with an overhand he would put Machida to sleep.

That's the thing...Chuck's doing a lot more chasing these days. I'd be willing to bet that if you put the two counter strikers in there, Machida would be the more patient of the two. Chuck would end up chasing and would end up on the mat...again.
