If you're looking forward to Anderson Silva vs. Vitor Belfort at UFC 108 on January 2, keep the excitement in check-it's still not official. According to Silva's manager Ed Soares, Silva has not yet been cleared by doctors to resume training following recent elbow surgery so there's still a chance the fight will be off. But we won't know for sure for a few more days.

If his injury prevents his training for 108....just re-schedule the fight later on. Simple as that.

Ed makes good points about Belfort worthiness, especially the part that he has not fought at 185 and missed 195 the first time. I think Dana wants to push it because he knows Marquadt or Henderson would beat Belfort most of the time and does not want to risk it.

say silva pulls out
it will be a blow to this card
only way to save it would be a
chuck lidell vs coleman bout or and
ufc sign hendo, gives him a hefty back end of the pay per views and has him face nate marquadt
this has to be a back up plan in case silva pulls out
he could always fight at ufc 109
