” … I don’t put Cain at Andrei’s level. With Andrei, I tried to say it wasn’t that big a fight and there wasn’t pressure, but my body knew how big it was. It was kind of like when GSP fought Matt Hughes and he gave him too much respect. That’s what happened with me and Andrei. I gave him too much respect. But I don’t put Cain on his level at all. I don’t feel any more pressure than when I fought on an Adrenaline show. It’s like, he’s good? Fine, I’m good too. I feel a lot better about how I’ll perform.”

Cain is a better all around fighter then Arlovski, Rothwell talks a lot for someone who hasnt even really proved himself against elite fighters.

i know alot about big ben
but i have never seen him fight on tv
weird?? all i know is he has had some poor performances lately
i do see a upset in the making, but i gotta go with cain

with octagon experience, this is a big fight for cain
ben has nothing to lose, and he is getting alot of publicity having his first fight a co main event

Well I think Rothwell deserves mention when you're talking about good heavyweights, but the problem is that Cain deserves mention when you're talking about great heavyweights. For Cain to have done what he's done up to this point is very impressive. The UFC knows potential when they see it, and there's a reason Cain was signed with only a couple of professional fights under his belt. The dude's legit. IMO the only question there is left to answer about Cain is his chin, and that's because of the Kongo fight.

As for Cain and Andrei- No, his hands and his power are not on Andrei's level. Nowhere near it. However, as others have mentioned in this thread he brings a very well rounded game into the Octagon, and he brings a lot of experience fighting in that Octagon. I'm willing to bet Rothwell could be underestimating the pressure of his first fight in the UFC.

Cain probably wouldnt finish Arlovski but I could definitely see Arlovski finishing Cain. The mental state of Arlovski right now and the difference in the wrestling department makes me believe Cain would get a UD while avoid striking almost all together. I would love to see Arlovski work his way back to the UFC, I believe he will and I'd still pick him in a rematch with Rogers or Rothwell.

Whatever Ben says it still doesn't change the fact that Cain is a worse match-up for him than Andrei was. Ben has never done the greatest against wrestlers and Cain will be able to nullify anything that Ben throws at him standing. I can't wait to see this fight but I see a long frustrating fight for Ben.

And Ben's on neithers level. He's in the UFC now. The IFL HW's weren't anything compared to the UFC's. The UFC heavyweights are in great shape, are sick grapplers, strikers, or wrestlers. Ben's gonna get smashed, again.

Ben is a good fighter but Cain is better. I don't think Cain is on AA's level in stand up but I don't think AA is on Cain's level in wrestling. But in all honestly Ben isn't on either of there levels.

I think it's an easy pick going for Cain for most on the Playground however you'd be a fool not to throw a couple of bucks Ben's way with the odds that are stacked against him.

Wow no love for Ben hah? My heart is with Cain but my money is on Ben. Ben has beat solid fighters. I know Cain is a good wrestler but we haven't seen him up against a guy with a solid ground game. Out of the last three guys Cain has fought, one of them has 1 submission to their name.

I'm excited for this fight either way. I'm dieing to see how this fight plays out.

Of course Cain isn't on AA's level (at least when it comes to striking), but not many HW in the world are on AA's level in striking. But not many HW in the world are on Cain's level when it comes to wrestling and Big Ben is going to find that out on Sat. I personally believe that Cain will be champion in the next year or two ( the only problem being that the UFC may push him toward the title shot too quickly). I would like to see him train with someone like Shawn Tompkins on his striking to improve it some (he already has decent striking, but with a top notch striking coach I believe he will become unstopable). Big Ben is a good fighter and he can compete with some of the top ten HW in the UFC, but Cain is on another level. WAR CAIN
