This move would be HUGE for strikeforce
Thats an understatement. I dont think Robbie Lawler or Frank Shamrock would stand a chance against Hendo!

This is absolutely unforgivable! Hendo doesn't have much time left and wants the money sure, but I bet you it will all come down to the fight they want him to have with Nate. In my mind both have earned a title shot against Silva, the UFC brass should let Hendo have his title shot first and then Nate second. Besides if Dan won you would get the Nate Hendo fight anyways.

Dan Henderson is a great fighter and a better person. He has done great things for the sport. Its a shame that Dana is going to let him get away.

Like it or not, Hendo is not a big draw. Virtually no one outside of the hardcore MMA community knows who he is, and like I say every time something like this arises, it's all about economics. He may be an awesome fighter, a veteran, etc. but he doesn't sell tickets or PPVs, and as a result, he's probably not worth the amount of money that he thinks he is worth.
I really don't think this will help Strikeforce all that much if they do pick him up. I think within a year or two the UFC will have most of Strikeforce's best fighters under their roster, if SF can even survive that long with Fedor on their payroll.

there are some interesting match-ups. i think dan would win them all but i honestly wouldn't mind seeing king mo/Hendo, Moussasi/Hendo Jacare/Hendo at middle weight, even soko/hendo wouldnt be bad. i mean i think Dan takes them all but he definitely wont go over there and have nobody interesting to fight. but moussasi hendo would be one hell of a fight, even king mo hendo would be great to watch with two wrestlers of their caliber.

What I want to know is how Iole can say Hendo is "on the verge of signing with rival Strikeforce" when he can't even reach scott coker for confirmation/comment.

Well he said "appears to be" because we know that the UFC doesn't intend to negotiate further and strikeforce is really the only other viable alternative.

I know Henderson is a bit small, but couldn't this mean a Henderson vs Fedor fight? IMO Henderson is one of the top p4p fighter. Has Fedor ever mentioned cutting to 205? I wouldn't expect Hendo to move up to heavyweight but if they met in the middle... Yeah that would be a fight I would like to see!
