First Tim Hague, then Mike Guymon, and now UFC has signed a 3rd King Of The Cage Champion in just the last several months. The latest one to sign is Rory MacDonald, a 4-year-pro who's only 20 but is a perfect 9-0 and is the KOTC Lightweight Champion. Terms not disclosed and no debut date set, but he's expected to move up to Welterweight in UFC.

I'm not sure why he wants to jump into the shark tank that is the UFC WW division, but this kid is a freaking stud. I'm hoping they don't just plan to use him for Canadian shows, he has crazy, crazy potential.

I'm also curious as to why he would want to move up to WW. Considering his age it's quite possible that he's growing and can no longer make 155 but it that's not the case I don't get it.

The interview states that he 2 most recent fights have been in the WW division, with his most recent win coming over a former 205lbs champ. He may just feel better fighting at 170lbs.
