Cain, if you ask him. While making the rounds promoting his fight with Ben Rothwell at UFC 104, Velasquez said he definitely wins against Fedor, should that fight ever happen. "I'm a proud Mexican fighter. Anybody who steps in that ring with me, it’s like **** them, I’m gonna beat them. The guy’s gonna have to kill me. I think he’s an awesome fighter, he’s the best. It’s not like the movies or TV with the biggest and most muscular guy going out there and he’s the baddest guy, it’s not always like that. Like Cheick Kongo, I don’t look anything like him, but if you got the heart and the fighter spirit, that counts for a lot.”

I'm not even sure Cain will get past "Big Ben" .
There's no way he beats the "Last Emperor"....

I'm glad he's a proud Mexican, but most of Fedor's opponents were probably proud of their nationality too.

Love the confidence but he needs to worry about Ben first. He almost got finished by Kongo, what do u think would happen if Fedor got a hold of him

Hillarious. As a proud American, I think his chin is suspect

As a proud Mexican-American, his chin needs a little work but he proved he could take a shot against Kongo. But I think Big Ben beats him.

Nothing wrong with having confidence and wanting to promote yourself as a great fighter. But that doesn't mean he's right.

I think Fedor would win by submission

Without wanting to go too far off-topic, if Cain can take shots from Kongo and not be KTFO, he beats Rothwell with relative ease......

That's what I've been thinking. I have no problem with fighters saying they can beat whoever when they get asked. What do you expect them to say? If I was CV I'd be thinking I can beat anyone, riding high.

But that doesn't mean they're right.

Fedor would finish this fight if it were to ever happen. I think he has the advantage on the feet and would probably sub Cain if he got taken down.

there should be an auto response to every single thread like this one; i mean this has to be like the 100th time i am posting this:

This was his answer in an interview. the journalist asked him if he could beat __________, what do you want him to say? that he can't? people really need to consider the context in which statements are given.
