Gegard Mousasi and Rameau Thierry Sokoudjou have agreed to meet in a light heavyweight non-title bout at Strikeforce “Fedor vs. Rogers” on Nov. 7 at the Sears Centre Arena in Hoffmann Estates, Ill., Sherdog.com has confirmed through multiple sources.

If approved by the Illinois Boxing Commission, the three-round bout will be one of four fights televised live on CBS during the promotion’s debut on the major broadcast network.

Mousasi earned the Strikeforce light heavyweight title with a first-round technical knockout over Renato “Babalu” Sobral at Strikeforce “Carano vs. Cyborg” on Aug. 15 in San Jose, Calif. The bout was the 24-year-old Armenian-Dutch fighter’s first at 205 pounds, as well as his debut fight in the U.S.

Mousasi was the Dream middleweight champion before he relinquished his title to move up a weight division.

More Mousassi means more gooder show!

I agree with you and think he'll get a TKO or some strikes setting up a submission. I'm surprised Soko would take this match with a DREAM fight later this year. I'd much rather see Mousasi choke King Mo out live on CBS.

Yeah, it's funny how people are starting to think of Mousasi as a primarily ground fighter, when he would probably argue that his standup is his forte

glad to see skou in the lime light again but i don't see why gegard won't put the belt up unless he does think he could lose

You hit it Prozac would props but need to spread the love. Soku is overmatched again. This guy has been thrown to the wolves his entire career. He has done ok but I see him losing by sub inthe second to Gergard.

Soko can't fight for the title do to DREAM. It is teh reason Gegard pulled out, he can compete in both promotions...but not if your champion.

I sure hope they get Mousasi on the televised portion of the card. I would like to see him get more exposure, he already has a huge following, but once his fights start hitting mainstream television like the live CBS show his name will just explode and with his opponant Soko he is set right to let loose some fireworks. Hopefully these will be the 4 televised fights

Fedor v ROgers
Shields v Mayhem
Silva v Werdum
Mousasi v Sokoudjou

Mousasi takes this pretty easily IMO. He is one of the best out there and he will be really scary when he hits his prime. Mousasi 1st Rnd Sub after he dominates on the feet.
