"As Strikeforce’s fall schedule takes shape, several of the promotion’s marquee fighters have grown antsy, and they’re pointing fingers at each other.
Jay Hieron, a July addition to the welterweight stable, wants to fight Nick Diaz and says he is tired of waiting in limbo after choosing Strikeforce over the UFC. "

So Hieron badly wants to face Diaz after their August 15th fight didn't take place, however he's turned down fights with him on October 25th and November 7th because of lack of time to prepare.

hieron as a fighter should be well prepared at most times regardless imo. but nick needs to get his affairs in order. imo he is one of the best fighters in the sport and seems to be improving every time he comes out. he needs to start acting like it and handle his marijuana business accordingly. i dont care if he smokes as it is legal in cali but i hate to see someone of such talent not fight because of drugs (at least it aint performance enhancing.)
i do think if strikeforce has a problem with nick he will be going back to the ufc. that would be bad business for strikeforce as nick is one of their top fighters imo.
and this boxing business of nicks is stupid imo. what a great waste of excellent bjj.
but nick would stomp hieron imo. hope it happens in december.

Diaz will beat Hieron any way that he wants to imo. I for one would like to see a submission.

I agree with the previous statements...it's bad on all sides, Nick for not testing when he has to know the commissions are gunning for him, Heiron for being twice unprepared, Nick's for putting Jay in that situation to begin with, and Strikeforce's for not managing everyone a little better to make this fight happen. Oh and also I bet Nick takes a W in this fight no matter where it is decided.

This is all bush league B.S. The kind of stuff that is killing professional boxing. It is instances like this when I'm very glad the UFC runs their business the way they do. They're not perfect by any means, but I guarantee you that these guys wouldn't be in this same boat if they were fighting in the UFC.

Agreed. However, I can't say I'm surprised one bit.

He won't beat him with wrestling.

Although there is no link, I have to guess diaz's camp would stick up for him, but I think marijuana is stopping diaz from drug testing. If thats true, what a waste of talent, I would do ALMOST anything to fight for a belt, and Im not even a fighter. Prediction: diazz goes to dream ...no drug test...shields takes on jay heiron in a few months and gets both titles. I think overeem is dodging drug tests also but for roids!!!

This would never happen in the UFC!!
(Meanwhile Rampage retires, Forrest runs away from the ring crying, Fitch gets cut and resigned, Henderson can't get a contract, Lesnar acts like a complete arse, sean sherk gets busted for roiding, and on and on)
Of course it happens in the UFC. Ask Dana how he feels about the Rampage thing. haha.
