Posted by cloud301336 Well lets see here Greg Jackson's School, also known as Greg Jackson's SUBMISSION fighting. And where do submission's happen that's right on the ground and where does Kimbo suck that's right on the ground. and its not always about the what the trainer teaches, i believe a great deal of a fighter skills come from who he trains with, and with the likes of GSP, Evans, Jardine, marquart and others Kimbo can only get better.
gsp mostly trains in montreal , marquart in denver . Greg is tied up with so many other fighters . He had great training partners ... Bas , ATT , Extreme couture etc. I dont see it making any difference .

I agree. Added to that is Kimbo is 35. The fact he didn't seem to pick up any ground skills from the training he did with Bas says that he is either unwilling or unable to learn the ground game. Let's say if he takes it serious from now on. I think it would take him at least a year to get to the point where he could have some basic ground defense. By then he is getting close to 37 years old. I don't see him competing, not only because of age, but also when his opponents are getting that much better as well.

I think he could take Al Turk, maybe Stefan Struve, I know Struve has a pretty tight ground game apparently with all his sub wins but in the UFC he doesnt seem eager to take fights to the ground.
Also maybe hardonk, hague and mccully if Mccully decides to stand
Kimbo would kill Struve, Struve has crap stand up and no takedowns. Kimbo would ko him imo. Hague would also get demolished. Hardonk would make Kimbo look bad standing and McCully would lay on him for 3 rounds.

Not saying he would but there is a definate posiblity after looking at Crocop's recent fights that he could and it would not amaze me if that happened.

I don't think kimbo would have much trouble with denis stonjic, al-turk is another guy he would beat. I think struve would take kimbo as would mccully or even christian wellisch. kimbo isn't very good, still rooting for him though, hope he can improve some but i think it's too late for him to learn how to fight on the ground, good takedown defense is his best bet to become a decent fighter but that still won't get you to the top.

I think Struve would sub Kimbo in the first round. He wouldn't need takedowns.. if he's smart he'd just wait for Kimbo to back him into the cage and then jump guard

I think Kimbo vs. Al Turk would be a coin toss win at best for Kimbo. That is, I think he'd have less than a 50% chance of winning that fight.
