To the casual sports fan, Herschel Walker's appearance on today's edition of "ESPN First Take" was probably a bit confusing.

On ESPN2's daily morning sports show, the 47-year-old NFL veteran championed mixed martial arts and made some boastful claims about his talent level – but forgot to mention a single time that he had been signed by Strikeforce.

Instead, the conversation mostly focused on the UFC and Walker's open challenge to fight company president Dana White.

weak...i think its dumb that herschel and that affliction guy have called out dana white...esp herschel walker... DANA WHITE IS NOT A FIGHTER....

its not like you challenge george steinbrenner to a home run derby just cuz he owns the yankees or jay-z to a 1v1 basketball game cuz he owns the nj nets

im esp surprised, maybe, not really actually, at stupid herschel walker calling out dana white cuz herschel is supposed to consider himself a fighter...why would any "real" fighter call out dana white? a little more understandable for the affliction guy cuz he wasnt a fighter...

walker more than obviously is just tryin to make a quick buck and hype up his name as much as he can before hes shown the exit door of mma

I can understand a guy like Atencio doing it to a degree since he was a promoter as well as a fighter, but this is just weak.

I could understand maybe calling out a UFC fighter and most certainly maybe calling out a SF fighter, but come on man.
Just a feeble attempt to raise some eyebrows and get some publicity.

Kind of off topic...
Have any of you guys ever seen the "SquidBilly" episode where Lil' Cuyler has a kid and names him Herschel Walker? Episode is ******g hilarious, it mentions Tim Sylvia at the end too.
