Just hours after telling fans he was done fighting, Mirko ‘CroCop’ Filipovic appears to have done an about face and cancelled his retirement.

“Often things can get on top of you but I cannot say that I don’t love this sport,” he told Croatian newspaper Slobodna Dalmacija. “Its hard for me to decide now but I think that I will do these last two fights for UFC. This [fighting] thing is stronger than me. Sometimes the mind says yes but the heart says no.”

Sweet! I hope he gets easy fights....he has lost a couple lately so the talent he fights wont be to high on the ladder! One more time....for the old highlight reel!

Fighters that have reached the top almost never retire until they physically can't fight anymore. Theres a reason that in the history of boxing, there has only ever been one undefeated champion. They ALL fight past their prime until they lose. MMA won't be any different in the long run. Hell, if Marciano hadn't died in a plane crash, he probably would have come back as well.

I think Crocop should stay retired.
His time has passed. The HWs now are too big and skilled for his one dimensional self
Instead of fighting this he should embrace the fact that he had a great career and work within another area that he could enjoy.
If he worked as a trainer that might be a more suitable position for this situation that he is in.He could still train and be in the business that he loves.

100% but I really wish people would just be honest with themselves and don't make public statements for a few months till they have time to clear there heads and make a real choice. It seams like all pros now days has the Favdan syndrome.

I just wanna see the legendary CC once before he is gone. But i think it might not happen, the HWs are to big, strong n fast plus he is not what he use to be in the ring or training. I would like to see he try LHW. CC is one of my fav fighters and i cant bare to see him lose another fight. I just want a LHK in the cage.
