Kim Couture and Kerry Vera have verbally agreed to meet in a 135-pound women’s bout for Strikeforce, sources from both fighter’s camps have confirmed. Bout agreements are expected to be signed shortly.

I'm definitely going with really weird.
Didn't Randy divorce her? Why is she still "Couture"? I really never liked her at all, she was always sticking her nose in **** that wasn't even close to her business and all of her interviews basically ended up being like listening to a room of teenage girls gossiping.

It happens all the time. Women establish themselves (in their respective careers) under their married name and decide to continue using that name after their divorce.
According to Wikipedia, which we all know isn't always accurate, Randy is still supporting AND coaching her, so I would think he's fine with it.
Besides...name recognition is huge in MMA. Nobody would watch the fight if it was Kim Jones vs. Kerry Vera.*
And legally...I don't think the divorce is even final, so she's technically still a Couture.
* I doubt Jones is her actual maiden name. I was only using it to illustrate a point.
