And he wants fans to remember that. He recently told a Las Vegas newspaper that in MMA "you cannot have the future without the old guys like me that did it first". And he referenced Michael Jordan in regards to there being no Kobe Bryant and LeBron in the NBA without MJ to compare himself to the young stars of MMA today.

Lol...damn....starting to remind me of ken shamrock the way he's always reflecting back. Enough with all the self glorifying from yesteryear. Anytime tyrigg faced top level guys he got crushed.....hughes, gsp come to mind. Especially ufc 54 where gsp schooled him, after he called gap a b class fighter......

I wouldn't call Frank the MJ of MMA but maybe the Grant Hill. Randy Couture, Matt Hughes or Tito are the MJ of MMA. They have been around longer than Trigg. At least in the big fight atmosphere they have.

Fedor is the only thing close to being the Jordan of MMA.

GSP, SIlva and Machida are the only other ones that should be considered.

Put this one up for "Most Irrelevant Comment of the Year" award, if there is such a thing.

Except Fedor is like the Michael Jordan of MMA if MJ had decided not to play in the NBA and Stick with Semi-Pro leagues.

The other guys you named are still current, more like Lebron James. Chuck Liddell and Matt Hughes are the MJ's of MMA.

I thought I wouldn't mind seeing Trigg back in the UFC, but I already want him to go back to announcing. Actually... I would prefer if he did something that didn't involve him talking.

I would argue that MMA has not yet produced an equivlent to Jordan.
The UFC has some stars that are growing in name power, but none yet can be compared to Jordan.
