The man that can currently lay claim to being the strongest man on the face of the planet is set to bring some serious pain to the world of mixed martial arts in the near future.

I ahve watched Marius over the years and he is a beast but picking stuff up is not the same when someone is punching you or trying to sub you!

Lets hope he gets some decent training in first

I agree, he does have a boxing backround, I honestly believe that for a guy as strong as pudzianowski all he would need to have some success in mma is take down defense. I think he could power out of any sub attempted by any fighter.

I may be getting carried away with this, I also have watched him compete a bit over the years, and the guy is a true freak of nature, makes brock look like a wimp.

I'll call it now, the first official (legit) death in mma to be handed out by Pudzianowski.

This guy sure is getting a ton of hype for doing nothing. He'll be crushed if he gets anywhere near a c-level fighter.

Pudzianowski is a freak of nature. Plus ive seen him shadow box an be able to throw a high kick bout 6'. taking a head kick from him would be death. Not to mention he is a former rugby player so his cardio shouldn't be a problem. also he has had a background in boxing, kickboxing and karate.

I think he will go on a serious run of KO victories. The power he has is crazy, blocking his punches with your arms isn't going to help much.
Although weighing 285, I can't see many legit contenders facing him. Japan will probably be the moneymaker for him.

I want to see this chap have a few victories, and come over to the UFC.
It could then almost be possible to create a super heavy weight class as there might be enough contenders.
But more then that, if Carwin does not do it ( which I think he might) this man could reshape lesnar's face nicely .

His first 3 opponents should be:

Nortje
Sapp
Sparks

Interested to see him fight, but doubt he will have too much success. SHW pretty much only have Japan...and not much competition in that class

But I sure he could cut the 20 lbs to make 265

Maybe but there is not a whole lot of fat on Mariusz so I don't know. It will be interesting to see what happens and who he fights

This is pretty interesting to me, Pudzianowski is huge. I have seen him in the World's Strongest man and they guy is a freak of nature. Also, unlike most of the strong men, he is actually in shape. As people have already mentioned he prectices Kyokushin karate and was a long time boxer. For some reason I don't really think that cardio will be much of a problem for this guy. If he could get into a solid gym and possible cut a little weight, the guy could be an animal.
