why is that rogan and goldberg always say anderson silva has only lost one round in the ufc, that being to dan henderson? correct me if i'm wrong, but didn't travis lutter clearly win the first round against silva in their fight? i mean, not only did lutter take silva down twice in that round, but he mounted him, dropped some bombs, and damn near finished him before silva escaped. silva didn't even land any clear shots on lutter during that round. silva clearly lost this round. anyone agree or disagree?

I'd have to go back and watch the fight to really say either way...I do remember him mounting Silva but don't recall him doing too much damage and Anderson using his feet to buck Lutter off...but like I said...I would really need to go back and watch it again.

i think everyone does know this, apparently everyone but rogan, dana white, and mike goldberg...they all suck up to silva saying that henderson is the only one he has ever dropped a round to; i've heard all of them say it several times.

Agree with the above statement. UFC will not aknowledge that someone who is not signed with them could have possibly beaten him in a round.

Does it make sense promoting a guy who is no longer under contract ?

no, not necessarily, but this is not about promoting travis lutter. it's about acknowledging that silva has lost more than one round. it's about being upfront about your fighters. it's about stating the obvious. it has nothing to do with promoting travis lutter. i think their dishonesty has more to do with promoting silva; keeping up silva's untouchable image and what not.

What does it matter? Maybe in their opinion he didn't. It's all a matter of opinion if the fight is finished and score cards are not tallied. It's really a moot point.

i promise you they know he didn't win that round. it's def not a moot point. scoring can def be subjective, but not in this case. lutter CLEARLY won the round. to say it is a moot point is ridiculous.

Anderson reversed a sweep on Lutter.

so what, reversing a sweep doesn't win the round. did you see at all what lutter did to silva before he reversed the sweep?

Agreed 100%. Total non issue in my opinion.
