I heard from a buncha different places that Mike Quick Swick is out from his fight with Martin Kampmann due to an injury suffered in a full contact sparring session with Josh Koscheck. Apparently Koscheck rocked Swick and sent him to the mat.

Wondering what all your guys' views were on this.

Koscheck swept him causing him to land on his head and he suffered a mild concussion, this happened like 3 weeks before the fight i don't get why he has to pull out

Mild concussion or not, if you still have any dizziness the commission won't clear you to fight.

I doubt it was his call to back out.

Swick vs Hughes would be awesome. I'd give it to Swick by TKO.

Yeah Swick seems like the anywhere anytime type of fighter. A fight with Hughes could bve huge for Swick. If he was to KO Matt it would propell him much further than if he KOd Kampman. Swick will challenge for the title in the near future!!!

Swick is a tough dude. He'll be back in the octagon shortly, picking up a W on the way to his shot.

It seems like when Mike Swick is about to face a high level opponent he gets injured. He has been in the UFC almost 5 years and only fought like 10 times as oppose to Leben fighting like 13 times with being suspended for almost a year. These dudes started off in the UFC on the same day. So it seems like Mike Swick happens to get injured like almost every other fight and pulls out to get more time to prepare for a guy he doesn't think he can beat. What Do You Guys Think?

Absolutely not true. Swick has fought 11 times in 4 years, Leben has fought 13 in 4 years. That is not a big difference.

Also, I dont believe Swick is pulling out because he doesnt think he can beat his opponent. That is just a crazy conspiracy theory, and frankly, quite disrespectful to Swick.

No disrespect towards Swick. I picked him to win that fight anyways. But Martin Kampmann is no joke, I was really looking forward to this fight because It was a very intersting matchup.

Swick has also only lost one fight in the last 4 years. He took time off after the loss to drop down to 170.
