The UFC is not a charitable organization. While I'm sure it brings joy to millions of people, the UFC is foremost a business.

But not everyone sees it that way.

A recent article by Cagewriter editor Steve Cofield talks about the recent problems of Chris Leben, saying, "Here's hoping they don't axe him because if he's struggling with some of the demons of the past it might be the worst time ever for UFC to dump him."

i heard from a few people who went to the after party after the weigh ins saying he was partying it up pretty hard
i don't think he should go though, i like watching him fight, he was winning that fight before he went to sleep

Leben always brings it, win or lose. Guys like Leben,Franca, Lytle, Nick Diaz and Guida are always needed IMO. So while I think none of these guys will ever win a UFC title , they are guaranteed to have a entertaining fight, are are definitely needed in the UFC.

I thought he deserved to be given the boot before the fight, and he needs to be cut even more now. He doesnt deserve to be the UFC.

Before the rosholt fight he was 8-4 in the UFC with wins over Cote, Jorge Rivera AND Santiago, Luigi Fioravanti, Terry Martin, Alessio Sakara - fairly decent competition.

He had some setbacks and losses to Jason MacDonald and Kalib Starnes were evident of that (he fought a good fight against Bisping and who can blame him for losing to Anderson Silva).

Not perfect, but how can you argue he was not UFC worthy? Now there is more of an argument, but before the Rosholt fight he was sporting a solid 8 and 4 record with wins in 2 of his last 3.

I don't think it's time to cut Leben just yet unless they really need the roster space.

I definitely do not want him taking up main card space until he gets some wins though.

Sure, let the UFC cut Leben and replace him with someone who DOESN'T bring it in every fight. That would make a whole lot of sense.

I think he should be conditionally cut. His performance has been really poor since his loss to Silva and I think he needs to fight elsewhere. If he can sting together a couple convincing wins at a mid-level org, then I am for giving him another chance in the UFC, but based on his recent performances I don't think he is even at the level of gatekeeper.

As a person, I'm not a fan of his, as a fighter, he brings it every fight. He's a gatekeeper

Or mabeys replace him with somebody who doesn't abuse steroids. Or have to cancel fights to go to jail for driving under the influence.
