When asked about the possibility of facing either Randy Couture or Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira somewhere down the line should he capture the title against Brock Lesnar, Carwin revealed:
“I was told that the winner of the Brock fight will likely face the winner of the Cain and Rothwell fight at UFC 104.”

thats crap, neither of the guys deserve the shot just yet. Cain more so but he should at least beat a top 10 before he gets a shot.
CC/JDS winner is much more deserving and much more exciting. Nogueria of course deserves to be thrown up the ladder.

What they meant to say is, Cain wins = title shot, Rothwell wins = Nog gets it.

Aren't we forgetting about the Cro Cop/Dos Santos fight?
Say Dos Santos beats CC in the first round, or even finishes him at all. Wouldn't he be worthy of a shot?
Or vice versa. CC finishes Dos Santos. I'd like to see Cro Cop get his shot.
I think either of those guys are more worthy than Ben Rothwell

I would like to see the winner of Cro Cop/Dos Santos fight Big Nog to see who gets the next shot at the title. Rothwell doesn't deserve a shot yet, I mean this is his 1st fight in the UFC and Cain is pretty good, on his way up there but I still think he needs maybe 1 or 2 more impressive wins before he can be considered for a title shot.

i agree. the winner of the fight at 103 Vs. Nog should be the co-main for 107 in my opinon.
JDS V Nog- two brazilians. both great standing and both great on the mat, but one has better strikes and one has better Jits...
CC V Nog- the Epic rematch of PR%DE stars Mirko and Antonio a huge fight for all fans!!!
IDK which i would like to see better...

I thought I read something the other day that was saying the winner of Nog/Couture would most likely get the next crack.
And I would say that is prolly going to be true. Nog gets the next shot.

Rothwell, seriously?
If he beats Cain, I mean that's a pretty big win but I can't see how they would justify giving him a title shot after 1 win when they have been moving Kongo along the whole time without a shot.

Velasquez could use soom grooming, but this isn't boxing--where you're carefully handled until you're 100% ready to dominate at the top. In MMA eventually you're going to be thrown into the fire, and get tested--probably face some tough adversity relatively early in your cvareer at some point--and that's why you don't see a ton of guys fighting for the belt with 20-0 records.
Instead they come in with something like 13-3. Frankly I like that fighters are constantly facing adversity. On top of that, there aren't a ton of top contenders ate HW. Velasquez is pretty much as experienced as Carwin and Brock--so I don't see any reason he should be handled any differently.
Whoever he faces, I think it will be loss #1.

Velasquez is worthy of a shot. He beat a very tough Kongo. Rothwell... not so much. Nog could fight the winner of Dos Santos and Cro Cop if Rothwell wins otherwise velasquez might deserve the shot depending on how impressive the win is.
