Four months have passed since Matt Hughes most recently entered the octagon, and it'll be at least another four before he makes his return.
On Thursday UFC president Dana White said he expects Hughes (43-7 MMA, 16-5 UFC) to fight again in early 2010, possibly around the time of the organization's annual SuperBowl weekend card.

I think he should come back, fight Hallman, and then retire, I would not want to see one of my favorite fighters retire on a loss, and I think Hughes losses to most other in the current WW division, minus Hallman.

I say let them pull off a Brett Favre if they can, sure he led the NFL in picks, he also passed for like 4k yards.....the people who will have to most deal with the "legacy" that is built is the fighters themselves.

If Couture can keep on going, then why can't hughes?

I am the biggest Hughes fan going and I honestly think he has 3 fights left in him. He will not compete for the title but there are fights out there that make sense. Finish the Trilogies with Trigg and Hallman perhaps. We'll see what he decides to do. Either way I am going to support his decisions win or lose. He has done enough for the sport and the WW division that he can go out however he chooses.

Let him avenge the two losses to Hallman and after that it should be up to him. Although if they give him a shot to do that then why shouldnt Trigg get the same chance. Maybe those two and walk.

I don't get it. Seems like a pretty legit argument to me.

Yeah I'm alittle confused aswell. I mean because there is a poll, asking if hughes should retire or not. But ok....
