For the past 24 years, ever since his mother left war-torn Haiti with her three small children in search of a new life, Yves Jabouin has called Montreal home. He is at a loss, however, to pinpoint why Canada’s second-biggest city has distinguished itself as a burgeoning hotbed for mixed martial arts and boasts one of the sport’s most rabid fan bases.
