The CSAC has released the official fighter payouts form Saturday's Strikeforce event. The total disclosed payouts were $468,500 with the biggest share-$125,000-going to main event loser Gina Carano. And no, it's not a typo-Gegard Mousasi really did get only $2,000 for his title win. That'll go up. Real soon.

Maybe thats why he was so calm and collected after knocking out Babalu!
$2000 for being the LHW champion? Ouch. UFC would pay him at least 20 times that amount.
Hope he gets like a 2000% increase on his next fight...

He also might-and probably will-get some decent compensation from M-1 Global so he might wind up with close to, if not at least 6 digits when it's all over. Next fight out that $2K will be more like $30-50K guaranteed.

"Keep in mind the salaries listed above do not include fight bonuses, sponsorships, percentages and other unofficial payments."
Gegard was obviously paid more for that fight.

I just noticed something, only one fight went to decision (Hieron vs Taylor) kind of odd.

something is fishy with the M1 management. 2000 for the win seems insane no matter what bonuses. No wonder they lied to him. M1 must be pocketing some crazy money. More reason for me to dislike M1 Global russian ****** even more!

Carano making 125K is slightly ridiculous.

M-1 paid Mousasi a boatload of money rest assured. It's better that he get's paid in whatever currency he uses in Europe, then get paid a bunch of US currency and have to go through exchange rates and probably get taxed twice.

I don't think it is. She's the main event attraction and (at the time) was the top draw in women's MMA. I think it's justified.

He has had one fight in the leight heavyweight division and ur calling him the best in the world. He is a great fighter and with a win probably gets him in the top 10 but saying his number 1 is a joke.
