Matt Lindland was last seen losing to Vitor Belfort via knockout in just 37 seconds at "Affliction: Day of Reckoning" in January. Since then, his name has come up as a potential opponent for several young middleweights, but nothing every materialized.

How about this fall:
Fedor Emeilenko vs Alistair Overeem Frank Shamrock vs Matt Lindland Jake Sheilds vs Ronaldo Souza Brett Rogers vs Gilbert Yvel Joe Riggs vs Andre Galvao
That would be a sweet card and is possible

I'd be very interested to see how Shields would fight a superior grappler.

Matt Lindland has finally awoken after getting demolished by Vitor Belfort huh? I thought he'd never wake up. Decent signing by Strikeforce. The guys not very exciting to watch though.

This is what Strikeforce needs to keep doing, grow that talent pool. It will validate it's title belts, that will intice more fighters to sign. The more quality fighters, and match ups, the more the audience will grow. The Strikeforce org is making the right moves.

Ive never seen an entertaining Linland fight... apart from when he gets KO'd.
