A perfect 2009 came to an end last night for 46-year-old Patrick Smith, one of the competitors in the very first UFC event and the runner-up to Royce Gracie at UFC 2. He dropped a unanimous decision, 3 29-28s, to fellow UFC veteran Kevin Jordan last night at the debut event of American Steel Cagefighting in New Jersey. Jordan last fought in the Octagon at UFC 56, where he was KO'd by Gabriel Gonzaga.

Glad Jordan got a win. I love in the Gonzaga fight when in the third round the crowd gets so fed up with the lackluster fight they all chant "Go Home."

That fight was on the first UFC pay per view I ever watched. My friends and I were so ******* bored that whole fight, and it looked like Jordan fell asleep like 6 times.
