nate will submit him, and it may be rather quickly, but i thought gleison would do the same. either way i like diaz to get back on track here, melvin is always dangerous and a quality opponent despite his flaws.

I hope Melvin wins. I'm not a fan of either one of their attitudes and neither one of them are a legitimate threat for a title. Nate is as one dimensional as Melvin. I'll take Melvin though.

Diaz should win this fight pretty easily, unless he gets caught with a early Guillard punch. Guillard has some serious punching power. But I see this ending early. Round 1 submission for Nate Diaz.

I will be rooting for Nate, and think he should win....

But Melvin did just go 3 rounds, in which he survived mount, side control and being in the guard of Gleison Tibau, who imo has better jiu jitsu then Nate...so bad call or not, its obvious Melvin has been working on his sub defense/ground game.
Also Nate is a notoriously slow starter, and takes a few shots before he gets started.....if he takes a good shot from Guillard, he may not get that chance to get started..

I am thinking Diaz rnd 2 sub....but may take Melvin by KO

haha I AGREE!!!! I like em both a lot but Melvins gonna KO him!

I mean looking at his last fight, no matter the controversial decision, you gotta admit he looked damn good and looks to have matured alot. Every time Gleison got him down, Melvin got right back up. And Glesons a big mofo with great BJJ I believe and he couldnt put keep Melvin on his back long enought to submitt him. And Nates no sick wrestler or has the greatest takedowns. And if gleson wasnt strong enough to keep him down Diaz defintely wont be. And Melvin im pretty sure wont try taking Diaz down, he'll just stand and if Diaz cant keep him down, I dont think his stand ups good enough to not to get knock the fudge out even though he has been improving. I love this fight though, cant wait should be exciting!

diaz doesnt have to win this from the top or hold melvin down. melvin doesnt have good triangle defense, nate has a great triangle. i dont like either guy but this is a great matchup for nate.

He's only been triangled 2 times, in 30 fights...and the last one was over 3 years ago.

I do agree that Nate could pull off a triangle...but I dont think Guillard has some glaring triangle defense weakness that everyone he fights exploits.

Hows Nate gonna get Melvin on the ground though and keep him there tho? Just sayin I dont think Melvin will take it to the ground and if Diaz got him down I just think Melvin would get back up right away. I mean maybe if Melvin drops him then gets in guard to gnp, but lets pray Diaz is no big Nog! hahaha

this is obviously a freaking lob right for Diaz...itsa nice bounce back after getting dominated by Stevenson in his last fight.. UFC needs Diaz back in the top because he is a decent draw...

guillard was in the main event against stevenson.

Im wondering what the reach for diaz will be? Isnt guillard like 5'9". Diaz needs to work his clinch action in this fight.
