Another fight that has been discussed internally is Chuck Liddell facing Rich Franklin. Dana White has seemingly accepted the idea that Chuck is going to want another fight, and he would much rather have Liddell inside the UFC cage than to have him go and be a huge drawing card for Strikeforce or Affliction.

this is currently a total rumor, so take it for what it is.

Ive never picked against Liddell and never will but Rich uses kicks very efficiently and we all know that seems to be Chucks kryptonite.......
I seriously hope this fight happens though!

I really don't like this idea for Franklin, as he has enough gas left in the tank to make another strong run. Rich should be fighting guys who are in the top 10 in LHW for sure.

411Mania is saying: "Sources state that Liddell is looking for one more fight, and it could come this fall against Rich Franklin. "

I also think Rich wins this fight if it happens but I think it will be a UD. Chuck has been getting KOed a lot recently but the guys KOing him are really hard hitters.... harder hitters than Franklin I think.

Yeah, I dont think Franklin has the KO power to put chuck down and TBH I think this is a fight that chuck could very well win.

I don't think Liddell has that ability anymore, especially with somebody already recognizable like Rich Franklin. Liddell made Evans and Rua famous amongst casual fans, but Franklin's already got that star power and he should be using it against guys in fights that are title eliminators. Liddell will never get another shot at the belt, and Franklin is so far ahead in the rankings that if he lost this fight it would set him back two fights, not just one.
If Franklin can knock out Liddell, it poses more questions about the state of Liddell; most assumed that Rua and Jackson had finishing power in their hands, and Franklin's really don't compare to those two fighters.

Oh, yes. I wouldn't be completely shocked to see Chuck actually win this fight. That seems possible to me if Franklin uses the wrong gameplan. I think Chuck still has some game!
